Bread-making:
Food is very important for our spiritual, bodily and mental health. It is easy to get drawn into consuming convenience and highly processed foods. In the process we lose control of our nutrition and support large scale industrial and often multinational food suppliers. Local business and the environment suffer as a result.
Howard has not bought bread for several years. He has successfully developed ways of making bread with the minimum of effort. There is no need of lengthy kneading with his methods.
On the workshop you will learn about the character of different flours. You will learn how to make:
Soda bread & farls
Sour dough bread & pancakes
Yeast bread
Chapatis or roti
Make 5 different breads from one dough:
bagels
doughnuts
regular bread
naan
pizza
You will go home with samples of the breads you make and a sour dough starter.
This workshop runs for 1 day with lunch and refreshments provided.
