Kilkenny Druidry

Welcome to Kilkenny Druidry

Picture
Our names are Eimear and Howard.
We are founders of the Kilkenny Druidry College and Cuallacht De Danaan (Fellowship of Danú).
You are very welcome to join us on our path exploring the diversity in the natural world of which we are a part. This means we are not only curious about plants, animals, trees, birds, fish, the moon, the sun & the seasons, but also curious about our own quirky natures, our love of food, our love of offering hospitality that allows you to find us as we are.

Kilkenny Druidry College, Ireland has a collegiate atmosphere - a place for people to meet and learn from, with & about each other and so enriching our vision and experience of the world of which we are a part. We nurture a learning environment - encouraging and affirming curiousity amongst participants. We draw on a full range of experience from the intuitive & esoteric to the scientific & academic philosophies.

At the Kilkenny Druidry College we offer a range of
residential courses and day workshops.

Cuallacht De Danaan (Fellowship of Danú)
The fellowship of Danú is made up of men, women & children who attend our "seasonal ceremonies" with their potluck food and night courts of poetry, story-telling, music and song. These are creative and novel occasions.

At the heart of Kilkenny Druidry College & Cuallacht De Danaan is the sacred site at The Old Rectory, Three Castles, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland where we live - beside the river Nore in which lives the spirit of Fódhla who is one aspect of the triple goddess of neolithic Irish mythology. Our garden has grown itself with our help. The garden has a labyrinth  with its geometric form suited to various meditative practices. As you move out from the labyrinth the garden becomes wild. All the Ogham trees are present apart from Alder which grows near the river.
Within the grounds there is ruined Norman tower with an intact vaulted ceiling. This provides a dark space for ceremonies and meditation. It has become a temple dedicated to An Cailleach. Beside the tower is ruined chapel which we have developed into a Neimheadh, a sacred space or temple and dedicated to Danú and Lúgh. Within the temple there is a Triskele and a tomb containing the remains of an ancestor of the land.

We were very pleased to receive the Amethyst Healing Stone for Co. Kilkenny.
There is a sycamore tree which is sacred to the Goddess Isis. This tree grows within Neimheadh. Eimear as a priestess of the Fellowship of Isis presides over Isian ceremonies as well as Druidic.

There is a Druid Grove with a central fire pit.
