Happy Birthday, Eimear!

Some of your friends, who couldn't be here, wanted to send their love:

Pamela sent you a favourite pic and a poem:
Picture
Walking in the forest
There is a certain tree that reminds me of you
Glinting sunlight, flaxen drifts, dreaming green
You sit in splendour, Faerie Queen

Jacki says she would love to be able to be here with us and hopes you have a wonderful time - she sends much love and has selected her favourite photo of us all! xoxoxo

Dany sends love, her favourite pic of you guys and a birthday joke in French :-)

Adam sends big love and his favourite pic of you two together:

Eva wrote you a whole proper poem to convey her love!

My dearest Eimear,
The emerald isle’s silver lining
True strength and a wicked lightness combining
A crown filled with rubies on your hair
Would fast melt away against your glare
A proud druidess, healer, herborist, you
The woman who taught me a thing or two about tricking staffs.

For this knowledge so holy
And by the way, to the Order your eternal legacy
I am forever in your debt
Yet I can’t help but remain wet behind my ears
but laughing with tears and listening with burning ears
never fatigued of your honeyed intrigues
bubbling with cheeky wit and goddess heroines galore,
no shit!

but under these layers of frocks and shields
ah, your true wisdom if you listen carefully,
revealed.

Happy 60th, Eimear!
To a long life and a merry one,
To glorious friends, and jolly ones,
To great adventures, and easy ones,
To a stiff whisky, and another one!
love,
Eva xo

From Pat, a quotation from Yeats and a selection of favourite Eimear-pics.

"Say where man's glory most begins and ends,
And say my glory was I had such friends."
Happy birthday, A#
